Free Hugs Campaign!

After watching this video of a Free Hugs Campaign on youtube some of my friends and I decided to do it here in Malta! It went better than i thought and now im very happy and proud that i took part in this campaign/activity! =D

huggers who took part were: Daniel Cassar Alpert (Fallakka) <-- me :P, Nicole Vella, Lucas Cordina, Joseph-Louis Grech (Jello), Andrew Camilleri (evil kukka) and Stephan Mintoff (1 hug..) lol Anyway.. the video I put together surely speaks better than my words.. so watch it!!! =D best is to leave comments on the video on youtube ;)

Im posting very early today as last week i had taken good photos for this week's theme; "Breakfast". I thought its a good idea to put 2 parts of the photos into 1 photo and this is the result :)

PhotoHunt: Metal

yet another photohunt and this time im not soooo late.. i also decided to try and take a photo just for the photohunt rather than choosing one from my 'collection'. met with mum early in the morning to go "photohunting" but we started off with a coffee. Thats where the first photo came to be.. next we went to marsalforn valley where nicole met with us. there wasnt really any metal there but nicole was wearing her studded belt and thats where my second photo comes in :)

well then nicole was feeling left out with me and my mum taking photos of anything possible so decided to get me take photos she would then use for her own 'creation' (read under my 2 photos for more.. lol)

nicole felt creative and wanted to mess around with photoshop (just to find something to not do her university work :P) lol anyway as a form of a reward for letting me take her photos and since she doesnt have her own blog im uploading her 'creation' (my photos :P) here..

laaaaaate post this week.. hope someone's still looking at this week's photos lol but im gona post this anyway.. this is a shot at the Msida Yacht Marina... Msida happens to be the village i live in during the week (as do 100's of other gozitans lol it's "Gozo-Town" really lol) but i rarely go walking around here. So.. the day i DID go out for a walk i took the camera with me.. whatever.. blablabla.. here goes..

PhotoHunt: Together

posted this a little late today as i had... forgotten... (well its still Saturday so its not thaaat late..) lol anyways thought this photo was good for the theme 'together'. This is during the traditional regatta race that takes place every year on 'Victory Day' here in Malta. the 'together' fits in because if one of them stops rowing, the boat would just go in circles.. therefore they need to work together in order to move ahead...

at first i was just gonna post the one with nicole sitting by the pool. But as i was scanning through my photos to see all the other blue ones, i found this other which i had taken during a picnic and is definitely my fave 'blue' photo.. so yeah.. Im posting them both as its still early in the morning and dont really feel like deciding lol

Young Local Musicians

Yeah malta does have some good local talent and even young ones. below im posting a link to a podcast by Toni Sant who in my opinion is doing a great job at exposing these new bands. The maltese media almost always looks at the same bands over and over again and my guess is that people think that the only bands in malta are Ira Losco, Scream Daisy and WinterMoods.. I'm not saying anything against these bands as they DO have good material.. im only talking against the media who do not expose enough maltese/gozitan talent. Well Toni Sant does so listen to this podcast that features a few new bands including friends of mine (and gozitan) The Imagery!

PhotoHunt: Scary

so, first of all this photo is not a photo-manipulation.. just set the exposure time to 15 seconds and told Ismael (guy on the right) to stand there and not move at all.. then told Nicole (the ghost :P) to go into the picture and stay in a position for a few seconds... and thats how i got the ghost effect.. quite simple really lol now you see why you shouldn't believe all the ghost photos you see :P lol Nice weekend everyone :)

PhotoHunt: Lazy

ok, so.. Lazy.. was tempted to just take a photo of myself lol. But im still being lazy so instead of going out finding a photo to take im using a photo I had taken of my cat 'Felix'. Well it fits the theme right? =P


Edit: i know i already got 7 comments on this post.. but i decided to upload another pic.. this is a photo of our other cat 'Simba' who is actually 100 times more lazy than the above 'Felix' lol
